Wind Farm Project in Nantucket Being Attacked

A wind farm built off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts has put residents into an uproar over its aesthetics, saying that they are visual pollution. They have since lobbied to have the project suspended. The Daily Show's Jason Jones reports the issue.

I think that the whole thing is ridiculous. There are far more polluting things out there that will be aesthetically displeasing. One being dead seagulls on the beach that have choked on bottle caps or smog developed by major city commuters. The challenge to move forward as an environmentally friendly planet needs to come from the people not the politicians.

Please, make those donations to your local electric companies to develop sustainable energy. If they don't have current intentions of going green, find other resources or lobby for renewable energy in your area.
