Toyota Commits to Improving their Environmental Image

logo toyota 3d silverThe Toyota Automobile Company has committed themselves to a five year environmentally friendly overhaul. Currently the leader in hybrid technology (with over a million Prius Hybrids sold worldwide) Toyota has plans on improving the 'green' factor of their vehicle production plants.

“Toyota has made protecting the environment a top priority in our company,” said Teruyuki Minoura, President of TMMNA. “Toyota is proving our commitment to the environment with many of our products, but it all starts in our manufacturing facilities. We promise to continue to improve each manufacturing process as we work to become the world’s leading auto manufacturer in environmental responsibility.”

That is quite the commitment for Toyota to make. Automobile production, use and disposal are a major contributer to world increases of CO2 emissions. By taking on the role of green technology Toyota's new policies could improve greenhouse gas emissions dramatically. Here's hoping.
