The Next Olympic Champion: You.

cycle_race.jpeg

Every four years, we all turn in to couch potatoes to watch two straight weeks of athletes pushing themselves to the limits - and beyond. We see people like Michael Phelps set record after record. We watch Usain Bolt groove to the sound of his gold medals clinking together. We see people bicycling, running, swimming, jumping, throwing, rowing, pushing their bodies to the limit.

And after the two weeks is over, we return to our lives and talk about the things we've seen, the names we've learned, and we wonder: Is it possible for someone to ever break the records we've just seen?

Sure it's possible. And what's more.. why can't it be you?

OK, maybe you won't break a record. But having seen the power and the grace of the Olympic athletes, why not take that inspiration and make a change in your own life? There's nothing more green, more eco-friendly, than you taking care of you.

Getting outside into the fresh Canadian air for a run. Paddling through the cold, foamy water of Canadian rivers on a roasting hot day. Hopping on the bike to blast out your work stresses. And by getting out into our amazing Canadian outdoors, with four distinct seasons and a wide range of terrain that allows you to create an experience all your own, you will truly see what we stand to lose by not respecting our environment.

So go, now. Check out fall Learn to Run courses, or a local Cycling group. Sign up for a swimming lesson or perhaps a kickboxing course. Push your body, without needing any external power to do it. You might amaze yourself.
