The retailing giant, Target, is testing out a new program whereby they refurbish and sell electronics. These of course mean that they will be sold at a reduced rate, which is what Target aims to do to beat out retail rival Wal-Mart.
Electronic waste is a huge international problem. TVs, computers, stereos are all thrown in the dump after an average use of three years. Most of the time they are thrown away simply because they were replaced for a newer version. Camcorders thrown away for a digital recorder; computers for a newer version. I think that Target may be on to something. reducing e-pollution (electronic pollution) may become a significant industry.

No matter what they do, I doubt they will beat out Wal-Mart. But good for them for trying to be more eco-friendly. Wal-Mart should try that.
