Sign a Renewable Energy Declaration

CleanPeace.org is organized as a non-profit corporation dedicated to the focused and rapid replacement of oil and other non-renewable energy sources with clean, renewable energy. The heart of this effort is through social action that “empowers people and renewable energy entrepreneurs” (who, after all, are people too).

Co-founded by Bill Garrett, a scientist and engineer, and Roy McAlister, an international energy consultant, CleanPeace.org offer citizens a way to take action by letting our leaders know we demand and expect leadership in forging a viable energy future.

The site encourages readers to sign a Renewable Energy Declaration. Through the four principals of the Declaration, a clear plan is presented for getting from where we are now to a future that runs on clean, renewable energy. The devil is in the details, of course, but we've got to start somewhere.

Cleanpeace.org will help signers of the Declaration work with their representatives by providing technical and policy assistance to help counter the overpowering energy lobby that some might claim rule the world - or at least Washington D.C.

It can be a daunting undertaking, but by starting with simple acts such as signing a Declaration and letting government leaders know you expect change, then change just might be possible.

While primarily geared toward US citizens, the Declaration is also available to people outside the US. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

So take a moment to check out CleanPeace.org. If you like the message and the mission, I urge you to sign the Declaration.
