Have you heard about Project Porchlight? It's the energy efficiency campaign run by the not-for-profit group One Change? The campaign has distributed free CFL bulbs in Alberta and Ontario.
"This is about more than changing light bulbs," says Stuart Hickox, executive director of One Change. "Everybody can change a bulb, and once people realize that simple actions like this really do matter, they want to do more. A light goes on. So we are asking Canadians to be a light in their own communities by delivering bulbs door-to-door."
Project Porchlight may be active in your community. If you join, you can deliver free CFL bulbs in your neighbourhood or at a local community gathering.
