Organic and Earth-Friendly Gardening

garden.jpgEveryone loves a lush green garden. But in your quest for greenness in you garden it’s important to be, well, green in your approach.

By limiting the use of chemical fertilizers, growing native plants adapted to your local environment, planting perennials where possible, and using hand tools and push mowers if you can (nobody wants to be that annoying guy with the gas-powered leaf blower), your garden can be both kinds of green.

All this said, I have to admit something: I’m not much of a gardener myself, organic or otherwise. You may remember from my post on how we save water when Jayne waters the garden; it is she that has the green thumb and not I.

So let me defer to the experts in the following links for some great information on organic gardening.
