The Ontario Government has been trying to get the message out to Ontarians about the need to conserve energy. Even though Ontario has the benifit of having a well developed hyrdo-power grid, its population growth is putting a strain on energy consumption. The solution; get the message out to conserve energy and eliminate the need to build more hyro-power stations. Whatever the motives are, conserving power benifits everyone.
Their site has a wealth of power-saving tips. I would mention a few of them but there were too many to choose from. They also have a message board where people can share their tips with each other, and an on-line power-saving calculator allows them to prove their energy savings scientifically. It all seems like a well planned out science project to me. Well, although the site was origionally designed for Ontarians, all Canadians and Americans are welcomed into the discussion boards. They also have a virtual house you can browse, that gives a room by room analysis of what you can be done to save energy.
