New Scottish Bio-Diesel Recycling Program

Stagecoach Recycle Passengers of Stagecoach bus lines in Scotland will be given special discounts on bus fares if they recycle their used cooking oil. The oil is used to produce bio-diesel which fuels the new service buses. By taking the used cooking oil to recycling center's, they'll be given discount vouchers. The used oil would gladly be given up for the sake of more pocket change. The program also boasts that they will not infringe on the food production industry, which is one of the biggest concerns against bio-diesel production.

The Right Honorable Des Browne, MP for Kilmarnock and Loudon and Scotland’s Secretary of State. “I welcome this innovative collaboration between two of our leading companies,” said Browne. “A recycling initiative that fuels public transport cuts carbon emissions twice over. It is particularly important that the project is using bio fuel from wholly recycled material and not from a source competing with food production.”

Great idea! When this program proves successful they need to do this in all major cities. According to Stagecoach bus lines, every bus will represent 960 tons of carbon emissions saved each year.
