London 2012 Olympic Games Will Be Green

The London 2012 Olympic Committee promises to be the greenest Olympics from their environmentally friendly facilities down to the burning of a low carbon emitting flame for the Olympic torch.

“The Olympic games and Paralympic games have the power to set agendas, and change behaviour, and applying sustainability principles to one of the most potent symbols of the Games will, we hope, help us do just that.”

With all of their current changes taking place, London has been making it clear to the world that they are committed to lowering their carbon footprint. They have already phased out the sales of incandescent light bulbs and have installed electronic thermostats in most Londoners homes.
