Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup is the largest and most successful volunteer event of its kind. Since 1986 thousands of volunteers from around the globe have cleared over 100 million pounds of trash from 170,000 miles of shorelines, rivers, lakes, and wetlands!Like all grassroots movements, the continued success of the International Coastal Cleanup depends on the participation of caring individuals like you. Just consider the impact you can make by dedicating one day to this worthy cause.
Go to www.oceanconservancy.org to learn more about this event and how you can participate in your area.
Cleaning the shores this weekend within this organization is going to be a great way to help conserve the environment while meeting other like minded people.
Good luck to all of the volunteers who will participate!
