

I guess when you stop to think about it, using the internet will save energy. I mean e-mail is way faster than mail and it has no transportation costs and it saves on paper; receiving bills online saves on paper as well; teleconferencing save on commuting costs. Using the internet to its full potential could save the planet according to a new study.
The just-released study commissioned by the CEA and conducted by TIAX LLC of Cambridge, Massachusetts, shows that using electronics to telecommute saves the equivalent of 9 to 14 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year – the same amount of energy used by roughly 1 million US households every year. - Bruce Mulliken
No one wants to sit behind a computer screen all day, but what is the point of going to an office to do the same thing? At the very least, try to incorporate the internet into your life as much as you can, even if its just e-mailing.
