How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

howtoreduceyourcarbonfootprint.jpg

I have collected a wonderful green living reference library. Whenever I want quick green inspiration, my favourite book is How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint - 365 Simple Ways to Save Energy, Resources and Money by British author Joanna Yarrow. It's "the world citizen's guide to pushing back the advance of global warming."

The easy-to-use guide has chapters on Heating and Cooling; Electricity and Electronics; Cooking; Washing and Cleaning; Gardening and D.I.Y; Shopping: Children; Work; Leisure and Transportation. They include helpful eco-friendly tips like if you unplug appliances and cell phone chargers you can reduce electricity bills by 10 percent. Another way is if you reuse a mug instead of disposable coffee cups you can save 100 pounds of carbon dioxide pollution per year.

Check it out here.

Buy a copy online at Amazon.ca and Chapters.Indigo.
