4. Do your Laundry in Cold Water

Using less hot water will reduce your gas or electric bill significantly. Try doing your laundry in cold water. "Cold Water" detergents are just as effective at cleaning stains and they help reduce the chance of your clothes "bleeding" onto your other clothes.
