Green Products and Services for Web Developers (And the Rest of Us)

Your Green ListJessica Hup wrote a great post on the VirtualHosting.com blog listing a plethora of “green” tools, apps, networks, directories, and web hosts.

Some resources have been featured here at Hugg before, such as the search engine Blackie (that saves energy by rendering a non-colored – i.e. black – computer screen), but there’s a lot of stuff I haven’t seen before. You’ll find ways to manage your computers power consumption, applications designed to manage your carbon emissions, green social networks, and a good list of web host providers that offset their server’s power consumption. I just added the website carbon offset service from CO2Stats.com to my blog at Global Warming is Real.

This is a real handy list, and it’s fun to go through the various resources, check them out, and bookmark for later.
