The Chicago Tribune's Jim Mateja reported today that sales of the infamous Hummer H2, H3 line-up has experienced a sudden drop in sales, by as much as 50%. Analysts have speculated that the drop in sales for the gas guzzling Hummers directly correspond with our increased price of gas. This is good news for all of those Hummer haters out there. I mean why do people buy those things? They make absolutely no sense. It's got mid-life crisis written all over it.
Mateja also reports that Honda plans on making some changes in their hybrid cars. Honda is attempting to bring affordability to hybrid technology, in an attempt to compete with current hybrid leader, Toyota. The Prius hybrid, considered the best all around hybrid car, has just celebrated their 1 million international sale. The new Civic hybrid anticipates to go on sale for just under $20,000 USD to start.
