Our consumerism is going to catch up to us. I mean we can't believe that producing as much garbage as we do, and wasting our natural resources, won't have consequences? Well it seems that a study by a group of scientists with the World Wildlife Fund have predicted that the earth will 'expire' by the year 2050. That's just 42 years away!
A study by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to be released on Tuesday, warns that the human race is plundering the planet at a pace that outstrips its capacity to support life. In a damning condemnation of Western society's high consumption levels, it adds that the extra planets (the equivalent size of Earth) will be required by the year 2050 as existing resources are exhausted.
I sure hope that this one isn't true, or at least could be reversed with allot of conservation efforts. We need to consider the things we use and throw away on a daily basis. Can any of your garbage be reduced? Do you have the means to switch to more energy conserving methods? Let's at least try to save some piece of the planet for future generations.
