Dyson Airblade to Shorten Hand Drying Time

dysonairblade

Public buildings all over the world are switching to air-driers as the alternative to drying hands in the bathroom. They don't produce paper waste so that reduces the need to clean the bathrooms as often. More importantly though they are cleaner for the environment. But what an inconvenience sometimes. I mean it takes at least a minute or more before your hands are satisfactory dry.

Designing and producing some of the worlds most efficient vacuum cleaners, Dyson believes they have created the ultimate hand dryer.

"The Dyson Airblade is 80% more efficient than conventional air dryers, using a fast (400 mph), thin (0.3mm, the width of an eyelash) sheet of air to dry hands in about 12 seconds. Dyson claims a 98% cost savings over paper towels. Since the air does not need to be heated with the Airblade, it does not need warm-up time, and will dry the hands more quickly. Rather than forcing evaporation, the Airblade uses high speed air to wipe water away."

80%more efficient than air dryers, 98% more cost efficient? That sounds great. I would take that over paper towels any day.
