Click this Link Every Day to Save the Rainforest

Rainforest_siteOkay, I’m being just a little tongue-in-cheek. Obviously, just clicking on a link isn’t going to “save” anything. But it can do just a little bit to help. And a bunch of little bits do add up.

That’s why I always start every morning’s computer session by going to The Rainforest Site and clicking on the green button.

Sponsors of the site donate money to help fund the purchase of rainforest land throughout the world by such organization as The Nature Conservancy, The Rainforest Conservation Fund, The World Parks Endowment, and Rainforest2Reef. 100% of the sponsorship funds go to these charities.

TheRainforestSite.com has about 35,000 individuals clicking the green button every day, and to date 150 million visitors have preserved more the 40,500 acres of land. Yep, just from one little click.

The sponsors include companies and organizations that promote free trade products, arts and crafts from indigenous people, and otherwise environmentally friendly products and services. When you do buy from a sponsor, more funds are made available to charity. So when I’m looking for a gift for a friend or relative, I always check to see what’s available at the site before going elsewhere.

For me, making TheRainforestSite.com my first stop online every day helps get me in a good frame of mind, and clicking on the green button – along with 34,999 other daily visitors – does help make a difference.

Check it out today and click on the green button!

(and after you’ve done that, you can click on the Hunger site, the Breast Cancer site, the Literacy site (another favorite), and the Animal Rescue Site… See all the good you’ve done? And you haven’t even had breakfast yet!)
