Cheaper Solar Panels Are On Their Way

The biggest concern for solar energy is the cost of purchasing the solar panels. Cost can be justified when considering the overall cost of electricity, but that doesn't make too much a difference to the consumer who has to shell out $10,000+ for the panels. AVA Solar is working on making a more consumer friendly solar panel.

"AVA Solar Inc. will start production by the end of next year on panels produced at less than $1 per watt. These costs represent a significant savings to consumers — with prices on the market expected to be around $2 per watt; almost half current prices." - GroovyGreen
