Are You an Idealist?

Idealist.org I’d like to think that all “Huggers” are idealists. People with a vision for how the world can be, one with a healthy environment, a sustainable economy, and adherence to the principals of social justice. Why not?

If you are one of those that says “Why not?”, then the next question must be “How?”

There is, of course, no way a single person can answer that question; for it requires the efforts of all of us, each in our own way doing what we can, to achieve. But I can point to a community of like-minded individuals that helps to facilitate that goal. One of the great things about this online medium of communication we enjoy is how it can empower grassroots momentum toward positive change.

Idealist.org was created by the non-profit group Action Without Borders as a means of collaboration and connection between individuals and organizations interested in doing something to improve their communities.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to volunteer your time and talent for a cause near and dear to your heart, a job in the non-profit sector, an internship, or just looking to explore ways to connect with other people with the common bond of a better world – if you’re an idealist – this is the place for you!
